Lee concluded the final round with a 3-under 67, which included a pivotal par on the challenging 18th hole. Despite holding a four-shot lead earlier in the contest, Lee encountered significant pressure from top competitors including Scottie Scheffler and Gary Woodland. He faced a setback on the 16th hole, where a sliced tee shot into the water resulted in a bogey, narrowing his lead to just one stroke.
This victory marks Lee as the fifth player this year to achieve a maiden win on the PGA Tour. In the same tournament, Scheffler finished just one shot behind Lee with a final score of 63. Woodland’s strong performance included tying the course record with his final round score of 62, which placed him in second overall. Notably, Rory McIlroy also had a commendable showing, tied for fifth place after recording a final round score of 64.
