Digital Millennium Copyright Act Policy
Welcome to https://www.herehoustontx.com (the “Site”). We respect the intellectual property rights of others just as we expect others to respect our rights. Pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, Title 17, United States Code, Section 512(c), a copyright owner or their agent may submit a takedown notice to us via our DMCA Agent listed below. As an internet service provider, we are entitled to claim immunity from infringement claims under the DMCA’s “safe‑harbor” provisions. To submit a good‑faith infringement claim, include the following information:
Notice of Infringement – Claim
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner (or someone authorized to act on their behalf);
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
- Identification of the material to be removed and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it (please supply the exact URL where the material appears);
- Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you—including name, physical address, email address and telephone number;
- A statement that you have a good‑faith belief the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
Title 17 U.S.C. § 512(f) imposes civil penalties—including costs and attorney’s fees—on any person who knowingly and materially misrepresents information in a DMCA notification.
Send all takedown notices through our Contact page or by email for prompt attention.
Please note we may share the identity and information in any copyright infringement claim with the alleged infringer. By submitting a claim, you consent to this disclosure.
Counter‑Notification – Restoration of Material
If you received a notice that material was removed due to a copyright claim, you may submit a counter‑notification to have the material restored. Your notice must contain, pursuant to 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3):
- Your physical or electronic signature;
- A description of the material removed and its original location on the site before removal;
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good‑faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your district (or any district in which we may be found if you are outside the U.S.) and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original infringement notice; and
- Send your counter‑notice through our DMCA Contact Form or email us at dmca@hereknowledge.com.
Repeat‑Infringer Policy
We take copyright infringement seriously. In accordance with the DMCA, we maintain a list of notices and make good‑faith efforts to identify repeat infringers. Accounts that violate our repeat‑infringer policy will be terminated.
