Austin Soars with Delta’s New Nonstop Flight Services!

People of Austin, are you ready for some exciting news? Well, buckle up because Delta Air Lines is ramping up its nonstop flight services right from our beloved Austin–Bergstrom International Airport (AUS)! That’s right, Austin—get ready for more travel options to fantastic destinations across the U.S.!

What’s Coming to Austin?

Starting on June 7, 2026, Delta will increase the number of daily flights from Austin to Indianapolis International Airport (IND) from just one flight to three! For those looking to hop on a quick business trip or a last-minute getaway, this expansion is a dream come true.

New Nonstop Flight Destinations

If Indianapolis isn’t your thing, don’t worry! There’s more to this flight expansion. Delta is also introducing brand-new nonstop flights to Denver International Airport (DEN), Columbus, Ohio (John Glenn Columbus International Airport – CMH), and Kansas City International Airport (MCI). The first of these, to Denver, kicks off on November 9, 2025, making it easier than ever to head to the Rockies or catch a Broncos game!

Comfort in the Sky

Travelers will enjoy flying in style, with these new routes operated by SkyWest Airlines using Embraer 175 airplanes. This means you’ll have options galore, including Delta Main, Delta Comfort, and even Delta First seats, ensuring everyone can find a space that fits their preference.

More Flights, More Fun!

But wait, there’s even more! Delta isn’t stopping at just adding new destinations. They are also increasing the number of daily flights to San Francisco International Airport (SFO), starting in April 2026. And as we mentioned earlier, by mid-2026, there will be training wheels off for Indianapolis with not just one but three daily flights.

Taking Austin to New Heights!

Earlier this year, Delta also launched additional direct flights from AUS to other popular spots like Jacksonville, Florida, and Memphis, Tennessee. Clearly, Delta is doubling down on Austin, which already holds the title of the second-largest airline operating at the airport.

Connecting Texas to the World

In the first half of the year alone, Delta transported over 1.7 million passengers, making up almost 17% of the total traffic at Austin-Bergstrom. This expansion isn’t just another feather in Delta’s cap. It’s a significant move to enhance its presence in Central Texas, connecting our vibrant region to critical business and leisure destinations across the United States.

A Bright Future for Austin Travelers

So, what does all this mean for you? If you’re a frequent flyer or someone who just loves to explore new places, these new nonstop flights will open up a world of possibilities! Enjoy more flexibility, convenience, and choices than ever before when planning your travels. Austin, it looks like our horizons are expanding, and who knows? You could be off to a new city before long!

Stay tuned as Delta continues to shape the flying experience in and out of our great city. Here’s to new adventures, Austin! ✈️
