The Austin Peay Women’s Golf team has revealed their upcoming tournament schedule, showcasing a lineup of events that promises new challenges and opportunities. With four new freshmen joining the team after the graduation of three players, the squad looks to enhance their performance on the course. The season kicks off with the Total Athlete Collegiate Tournament in Xenia, Ohio, followed by several key tournaments across the region, culminating in the Atlantic Sun Conference Women’s Golf Championship. Austin, Tennessee — The Austin Peay Women’s Golf team unveiled an exciting lineup for the 2025-26 tournament schedule, as announced by head coach Jessica Combs on July 24, 2025. The announcement brings a wave of enthusiasm for upcoming competitions and new opportunities for the team.
This season will witness the addition of four new freshmen to the roster, following the graduation of three players in spring 2025. The infusion of new talent is expected to enhance the team dynamic and performance on the golf course.
The season will officially kick off with the Total Athlete Collegiate Tournament on September 8-9 at the Country Club of the North in Xenia, Ohio. After that, the Governors will compete at Murray State’s The Velvet tournament on September 15-16, held at the Country Club of Paducah in Paducah, Kentucky.
Following those engagements, the team is set to participate in the Jackrabbit Invitational hosted by South Dakota State on October 4-5. This tournament will take place at Falls at Grand Falls Casino and Golf Resort in Larchwood, Iowa. The Arkansas State Lady Red Wolves Classic comes next on the schedule, set for October 13-14 at Sage Meadows Country Club in Jonesboro, Arkansas. This marks the fifth consecutive year that Austin Peay will compete in this particular event.
On October 19, the team will face off against Murray State again in the Battle of the Border, taking place at the Clarksville Country Club. The fall season will conclude with the Judson tournament hosted by Southern Miss from October 26-28 at Hattiesburg Country Club in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
As the spring season commences, the first event will be the Texas Golf Throwdown on February 16-17, hosted by Sam Houston State at Woodlands Country Club in Woodland, Texas. Following this, the Governors will head to Huntsville, Alabama, for the Huntsville Intercollegiate on March 2-3, hosted by Samford at the Robert Trent Jones Highlands Course.
The team will then return to Texas for the Houston Christian’s Riverbend Intercollegiate on March 9-10 at Riverbend Country Club in Houston. Continuing their competitive streak, they will also participate in Lipscomb’s The Nashville Invitational on March 23-24 at President’s Reserve of Hermitage Golf Course, followed by the Kentucky Invitational on March 29 at the University Club of Kentucky in Lexington.
The regular season will wrap up at Murray State’s Jan Weaver Invitational on April 11-12 at Miller Memorial Golf Course in Murray, Kentucky. The climactic moment of the season will be the Atlantic Sun Conference Women’s Golf Championship, scheduled from April 17-19 at Dothan Country Club.
